Travel Vaccine Clinic Serving Quincy, MA

Quincy and South Shore residents can get every major travel vaccine at our Natick office. JmBee Travel Health keeps hard to find vaccines in stock, including yellow fever, typhoid, rabies and Japanese encephalitis, so you do not have to chase doses across pharmacies.

We see patients by appointment at 209 W Central Street, Suite 208 in Natick. Our Braintree location on the South Shore has closed, so Quincy and South Shore patients are now welcome at the Natick office.

Why Quincy travelers visit us

Many of our Quincy patients are heading overseas to visit family and friends, with China, Vietnam, India and the Philippines among the most common destinations we prepare travelers for. Trips like these often need hepatitis A and typhoid protection, because staying with relatives usually means home cooked meals and a longer stay in one place than a tourist would have. Longer rural stays in parts of Asia can also call for Japanese encephalitis vaccination.

If you live in Quincy, our Natick office offers free parking right on site. As an independent, locally owned clinic we keep prices lower than the corporate travel clinics closer to Boston, and we provide an itemized receipt with insurance codes to submit to your health plan. Many of our Quincy patients book one appointment for the whole family before a trip to visit relatives overseas, which saves both time and money. No referral is needed, and same-day yellow fever appointments are often available if your plans come together quickly.

Which travel vaccines can I get near Quincy?

We stock the full range at our Natick clinic:

When should I book before my trip?

Four to six weeks before departure is the sweet spot. Some vaccines take time to build protection and a few need more than one dose. Leaving sooner? Call us anyway. Last minute travelers still get real protection from many vaccines, and we will tell you honestly what is worth doing.

Quincy travel vaccine questions

Do I need an appointment at a travel clinic?

Yes. We see patients by appointment only. Call (508) 784-6602 and we will find a time that works.

Does insurance cover travel vaccines?

We are not in network with health insurance plans, so vaccines and the office visit are paid at the end of your appointment. Many plans do not cover travel vaccines at all, so check with your insurer first. You will leave with an itemized Superbill showing insurance codes, which you can choose to submit to your plan.

Can I get travel vaccines at a pharmacy or my doctor’s office?

Sometimes, but pharmacies and primary care offices often do not stock specialty vaccines like yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis or oral typhoid. A travel clinic carries them and reviews your whole trip, not just one shot.

How long before my trip does the yellow fever card become valid?

Ten days after the shot. If your destination requires proof of yellow fever vaccination, book at least two weeks out to be safe. The card itself is valid for life.

Is it too late if I leave next week?

No. Many vaccines still help even days before travel, and we can also cover malaria prevention and travel health advice. Call as soon as you book your trip.
