Framingham travelers can get yellow fever, typhoid and every other major travel vaccine at our Natick clinic, about ten minutes away on Route 135. JmBee Travel Health is at 209 W Central Street, Suite 208 in Natick, and we see patients by appointment.
Brazil is one of the destinations we prepare MetroWest travelers for most, often for family visits, and much of Brazil calls for a yellow fever vaccine. We keep yellow fever doses in stock, which many pharmacies and doctor’s offices cannot do, and we provide the international yellow card you may be asked to show.
Our Natick office sits on W Central Street with easy access from Route 9 and Route 135, ample free parking, and a short walk from the MBTA station if you would rather skip driving. Because we are independent and locally owned, our vaccine prices usually beat the big corporate clinics, and we hand you an itemized Superbill with insurance codes to submit to your health plan if you choose. We are one of the few CDC-certified yellow fever clinics in the area, and same-day yellow fever appointments are often available when a Brazil trip or a visa deadline sneaks up on you. Friends and family traveling together can be seen in one appointment, no referral needed.
Yellow fever protection is recommended for most of Brazil, including many family destinations away from the coast. One dose protects most people for life, and the card becomes valid ten days after the shot. At your visit we also walk through food and water safety plus dengue and Zika precautions for your exact region.
Ten minutes from downtown Framingham, Saxonville or Nobscot, our Natick clinic stocks:
Aim for four to six weeks before departure. Oral typhoid takes a week to finish, and yellow fever needs ten days before the card counts. If your trip is sooner, call anyway. We help last minute travelers every week.
It depends on your destination, your route, how long you stay and your health history. At your appointment we match your exact itinerary against current CDC guidance and tell you what is required, what is recommended and what you can skip.
For most people one dose protects for life. A booster only comes up in special cases, such as travel to an active outbreak ten or more years after vaccination.
We are not in network with any health insurance plan, and payment is collected at the end of your appointment. Many plans do not cover travel vaccines, so check with your insurer before your visit. We provide an itemized Superbill with insurance codes that you can submit to your plan if you choose.
No, patients are seen by appointment only. Call (508) 784-6602 to book.
Both exist. The shot protects for about two years. The pills protect for about five years but take a week to finish, so plan ahead.
